Hi everyone!
Okay, so the site has gone through several changes since the day I started it. I just cannot decide on what to include or what logo design to use (you can see that I have different logos on my site and on the watermarks placed on some of the pictures posted here, I went through four designs total). But so far I am liking the feel of the site right now and I think the site will remain untouched (design wise :D) until I come up with something new.
Another thing that I have noticed is that I have not made a formal opening blog post yet. Yes, there is that short introduction on the Home page. However, I try to always make a formal introductory post on the blogs that I publish. And that is what I will be posting for today.
And since I am starting a new collection I decided to have my top five picks of my would be hauls if given the chance to get them off the shelves for free or if I have the money to buy all of them. I, however, would not dig into the details of each kit or models that I will be mentioning here, since I don't have them for me to make my own reviews or comments about them. :D
1. 1/10 Marui Samurai
I almost had one for PHP 2,000 (roughly around $44.44)! Someone posted a secondhand rolling kit in an online buy and sell site here in the Philippines. Contacted the seller, told him I'll get the kit, and waited for his reply. I messaged him around 3:00 AM, kit was posted midnight, so I assumed he was already sleeping then. I tried to wait for his reply but I inadvertently dozed off since I have been up almost all day because of school work. I woke up the following afternoon with three SMS on my cell. 1st SMS, he agreed to meet up with me the same day. 2nd SMS, he was following up on me since he is receiving a lot of inquiries about the kit. 3rd SMS, someone picked up the kit at his place. Almost threw my cell after reading the last SMS. XD
Even before that tragic event, I have always wanted to have three Marui Samurai, one un-assembled in mint box, one mint assembled rolling kit, and another assembled one for a runner. Meaty looking frame chassis and wheels, aggressive livery, classic buggy look, and chain driven. I can't quite distinguish what I like the most about the Samurai compared to the rest of the buggies out there but I really really really like it. :D

2. 1/10 AYK 4x4 Viper
"Metal Beam" Monocoque Frame, chain drive, and exposed roll cage are just a few things that makes this buggy a very sought after kit by many RC enthusiast. But the thing that I really like about the Viper is how the dampers are placed. I am not sure how this kit handles but I'm really liking the stance it provides the kit. I also like the rims on this one, if I have a CNC machine, I would definitely make a set of this rims in aluminum.

3. 1/10 Tamiya 4x4 Mountaineer
Just recently this has been posted in the same site where the Samurai has been posted before. It was posted for PHP 5,000 (around $111.11) tagged as barely used with all electronics intact, as always I messaged the seller with the intention of getting the kit the same day. I did not receive a reply from the seller until the following night. She replied with the details of the meet up location and time. Plus the update that the kit has already been removed from the site, and she is then accepting bid offers instead, and the last bid was PHP 12,000. I did not reply anymore, I am not sure what happened in between the time I sent the message to her and the time she sent the reply to me but I was sure as hell that I was the first person to message her because I was online when the ad was posted.
An almost all metal scale kit that is huge and bad ass, who would not want one right? Ladder type chassis, leaf springs, 3 speed trans, and a Yota shell to top it all off, and did I mention that this thing is huge?

4. 1/10 Tamiya Egress
One of the many Tamiya buggies that I really like (I want to have all the Tamiya Buggies!!!) because of the neatness of the chassis layout (well compared to other Tamiya RC Buggies of that era). Carbon upper and lower chassis plate with the exposed motor and sleek looking drive shaft is just pure porn.
There's actually a very nice blog of an RC enthusiast who bought and restored a vintage Tamiya Egress. The journey that he took in acquiring, restoring and finally finishing the kit is just awesome and inspiring. The photos below are his and his blog can be viewed here : http://tamiyaegress.com/

5. 1/8 AE RC8 Factory Team
AE RC18B, AE B44, and AE RC8. These are the RC's that were all over the pages of the RC mags that I bought when I started to get into RC. Carbon chassis, blue anodized components partnered with blue LRP electronics backed up with reports of winning team racers all over the world. I have always wanted one and recreate the very sick looking RC mag print ad of the Factory Team kit (which I cannot find any copy in the net, so I took a picture of the ad itself in one of my RC mags).

Well there you have it, my top 5 list for the hauls that I will be making if given the sweet chance. I know that all of them are RC kits but the reason behind this is that some of my top picks are diecast and plastic model cars that are somehow easier to obtain compared to the kits listed here. If I would to include the other models that I want, the list would be a very long one!
Many thanks for dropping by and like what I always say
~Keep on overhaulin!
